What's really going on in the world?

I haven't posted in forever... but I had to get this off my chest..

Is the world really on a precipice for disaster? Just take a look at everything that's going on:

We are currently in one of the largest military buildups in ther persian gulf around Iran:

Banks have been manipulating the Libor rate (london international bank order rate), and now 7 banks are being investigated:

Syrian violence and uprising:

Needless to say I could go on, coming home to the US with unprecedented heat records, solar storms, city bankruptcies, and so on and so on....
What's going on? Is it just me? I'm honestly not trying to find this doom & gloom, but I feel like it's everywhere... I do try to find beauty and goodness in people, but the world is in a very precarious place with economies in the tubes, and the war drums beating again. Isn't 10+ years of war in the Mid east enough?
